Not every love story starts out with beer, but Nikki and Gerrad’s sure does. After meeting in 2012 while bonding over a brewsky at The Pub in Kennewick, WA, these two Pro-Wrestling lovers fell head over heels into the ring for each other.
Now, five years later, before the big moment, these two snuck away for a pinky-promise and a quick kiss.
In an intimate ceremony on October 7th, 2017, these two tied the knot at the simple and industrial-styled BlankSpace venue. While Nikki may not be the most traditional bride–choosing Edison bulbs as bouquets with clean and simple decor–she certainly was able to help transform the space into her vision.
To keep in line with the more rustic elements of the wedding, Nikki had her bridal photos out in nature, surrounded by sunshine. Bouquet in hand, with a troupe of loyal bridesmaids in tow, we headed out into a nearby field (it’s a good thing she chose those studded flats). A simple, sparkling belt, personalized earnings and one of a kind custom dress, Nikki looked stunning as an off-beat bride!
The bride’s side, decked out in rose-gold sparkle, and the groom’s side, with classic suspenders and bow ties, braved the blustery day with smiles on their faces and the promise of a party soon to come.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family (one even got to officiate), they shared personal vows before the crowd and then, with a flourishing grand exit by Gerrad, the party began.
The couple lovingly chose their first dance to “Honeymoon Train,” a ditty preformed by Gerrad’s late grandfather, Wayne Ratchford of”Big Wayne, Little Wayne and the Cascade Troubadours.”
The couple chose to go causal with a DIY taco bar and a DJ to dance the night away. The beer (an IPA from DogFishHead) flowed from local tavern, Copper Top (they even posed for a photo there) and good times were had by all.
Love seeing your work in the Mastin Lab group! Beautiful work.
Thank You!
